Hey Cupcake!

My card last week for my card angel patient was such a fun card to make. I have been in the mood for some cupcakes, so before making some to eat I figured I would put one on a card!

(Sorry for the weird crop on the second picture...I had already written in the card when I took the picture, and edited it out.)

Items used:
  • DCWV card base in black
  • White cardstock to stamp cupcake stamps on
  • Markers
  • 3D foam squares
  • ribbon
  • stamps
  • memonto ink
  • gel pen
I started by stamping the cupcake stamps on my white cardstock. I wanted just an outline of the top part because I wanted to add the face. To do this, I just inked the edges of one of the cupcake tops from my "Cupcake" stamp set from PBD. After stamping the edges on the paper, I added the face stamp from a Peachy Keen Stamp set.  Once the cupcake stamps were done, I hand cut along the lines to cut them out. I then colored them in with my markers. I added some blush chalk to the face to give it a little color.

Before attaching the cupcake to the front of the card, I attached the ribbon around the card base. I then used the 3D foam squares to attach both the top and bottom of the cupcake. I then added the sentiments to the outside as well as the inside of the card.
