100 Cartridge Blog Hop - Day One!

For my projects today, I have used the cartridges Christmas Cards, Cheerful Seasons, and Celebrate with Flourish! 

My first project is a very cute custom baby shower invitation that I made for a customer. I used Celebrate with Flourish and an the Imagine cartridge Hopscotch to print the cloud paper. 

• I printed out the cloud paper on a 12 x 12 piece of white card stock. I then cut that down into 4 x 5 invitations. 
• The umbrella us cut from Celebrate with Flourish at 2 inches and attached to the invite using pop-dots
• The invite is stamped with some sentiments from Pink by Design 
• Before attaching the umbrella, I ran the invites through my printer to print the invitation information on the back side (not show due to personal information printed)

My second project is a Christmas card from Christmas Cards. 

• I cut everything for this card (including the base) at 4 inches. 
• I added the crystals from my stash to help add some bling
• The sentiment on the inside is from Pink By Design's Christmas Wishes stamp set

My third project is from Cheerful Seasons. 

• A2 card base 
• I cut the pumpkin out from Cheerful seasons at 4 inches 
• I cut the patterned paper for the front of the card base to 5 3/8 x 3 7/8 and wrapped the ribbon around it before securing it to the card base. The paper is from The Paper Studio's All Seasons II stack.
• The pumpkin is attached to the card base using ATG adhesive.
• The sentiment stamp is from a Fall themed stamp set from Pink by Design, as is the inside sentiment. 
• The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby's Harvest crafts ribbon line.

Today I have made 3 projects for you using Mickey and Friends, Create a Critter and Birthday Bash! 

My first project is a really cute Donald Duck invitation. I used Mickey and Friends to cut out all the cuts for this invitation. 

• Donald is cut at 4 inches and all layers were run through my sticker maker.
• I used a black gel pen to trace the detailed line cuts to make them stick out (hands, eyes, mouth outline etc) 
• The bomb is cut at 5 inches 
• The hats are cut at 1 inch
• The stamp set used is from 
• The invite base is 5 x 5 and was cut using a paper cutter. The black strip at the top is 1 x 5 and was also cut using my paper cutter. 

 My next project is from Birthday Bash and is a very cute bee that is placed on a birthday banner! 

• The bee is cut at 3 inches
• He is attached to the banner with pop-dots 
• All his layers were attached by running them through my sticker maker 

My final project is another cute bee, cut from Create a Critter. This was made for a friend that attached them to a paper lantern, making it look like a bee hive for her daughters 1st birthday! 

• This bee us cut at 2.5 inches
• All layers are attached by running them through my sticker maker.

September Cricut 100 Cartridge Blog Hop

 I have 5 projects for you this weekend from 5 different cartridges! To keep the length of this post down, I will only post minimum info about each, and if you would like the detailed info please feel free to send me an email letting me know what card info you would like and I will pass it onto you! :)

The first project was a card from Just Because Cards and is for my Chemo Angel patients sister....

• I started by cutting the lady bug at 8 inches and the saying at 4 inches. 
• The purple background paper is cut 1/4 of an inch smaller than the card base. 
• The background paper is embossed with a flower pattern before attaching it to the card base. 
• I used a scalloped punch to cut a tag to stamp on with a PBD sentiment stamp. I also added the flower to the inside of the card to add some color! 

My next project was made from the Robotz cartridge and is for my Great Nephew's 1st birthday! (Yes you read that correctly...my great nephew!)

• I cut the frog robot out at 5 inches (I cut this out 2 times, once in black and the other in white in order to make my card)
• I attached the layers to the front piece (black) and then attached the black layer to the white only at the top part that goes up to make it a card. 
• Instead of using the eyes that the cricut can cut out, I pulled out my google eyes and selected 2 that would fit the areas for the eyes. (I think this really make the card look cute!)
• I used a couple of PBD stamps on the inside to finish the card off! 

My next card came from Wild Card and I am not sure yet who this card is for. I think I will end up making up a few of these cards to send to family and friends for Thanksgiving!

• I started by finding some really pretty fall-ish patterned paper and cutting out the cardbase and leaf for the envelope.The cardbase, layers, envelope and leaf for envelope are all cut at 5 inches
• I attached the layers together and then also added a stamp the the inside of the card from the 

My next card is from Disney's Cars cartridge and was my card for my Chemo Angel patient last week! My son Jacob loves the movie Cars, so when I pulled out this cartridge, I let him point to the one I should make! (I am not sure he really got the concept since he is 2, but he did help!)

• I cut this card and layers at 5 inches. I cut the "blackout" cut 2 times, one for the "top" (black) of the card, and one for the bottom (white). For the bottom layer, I used my score board to score the top portion to make a flap to attach to the top layer of the card to make the card. 

My final project is from Robots Party! These invitations are fun for a party for any little boy (or girl!) who loves robots. :)

• The bases for the invites are a A2 size card cut on the score line!
• The front cuts were done at 5 inches
• The backs are stamped with a invite stamp set and left blank for the host to write in the party information.

Happy Birthday Blog Hop!

Hi and welcome to my Birthday Blog hop! This is the start of the hop that includes 12 wonderful blogs on the hop (there are 2 that are only able to participate on Sunday - so make sure to come back if you are hoping on Saturday!). I hope you enjoy hopping along and enjoy all the projects that everyone has come up with!

The theme for today's hop is Birthday! I will be celebrating my 27th birthday on August 3rd and can't think of a better way to celebrate it with all of you! Everyone on the hop has made any project that makes them think "Birthday".


For my project, I have created some party decorations! I made a "Happy Birthday" banner, invitations and topped it all off with some matching cupcake toppers and a card! I hope you enjoy!

Items used for the banner:

• Birthday Bash cricut cartridge 
• Blast off Imagine cartridge
• Scalloped 2 inch circle punch
• 3D Foam adhesive squares 
• Twine
• Stickers from my stash
• Striped paper from DCWV Stack 7

I started by cutting out the banner triangles using both the Birthday Bash cartridge and the blast off cartridge to make them the orange background color. These were cut at 3.5 inches.

After cutting out all the banner triangles, I tied them together using 4.5 inch pieces of twine. Once all the banner pieces were attached together, I punched the scalloped circles and attached the letters (stickers) and then attached the scalloped circles to the banner with 3D foam squares.

Next up was the invitations:

Items used for Invitaion:

• Birthday Bash cricut cartridge
• Blast Off Imagine cartridge
• Memonto Ink
• Bo Bunny stamp set
• Twine

I started by cutting the triangles that matched the banner at 5 inches using the same cartridges as before. Once they were cut out, I lined up my stamps to fit the scalloped sides of the invitation and stamped them using Memonto ink. I then added the twine bow to give the invitation a little pop of color.

Then came the cupcake toppers:

• Scalloped 2 inch punch
• Memonto ink
• Happy Birthday stamp from PBD "Birthday Birthday" set
• toothpick
• adhesive
• DCWV striped paper from Stack 7 
• Left over paper from triangles 

I used left over striped paper and triangle paper to punch scalloped circles. Once they were punched out, I added the "Happy Birthday" sentiment. I then used some adhesive to attach a toothpick to the back of the punch.

Last is the card:

Items used for card:

• Birthday Bash cartridge 
• Scalloped 5 inch card base
• scalloped circle cut at 4.5 inches
• Scalloped 2 inch punch
• Extra banner triangle
• Sentiment stamps (both from PBD)
• 3D foam squares
• ATG adhesive
• Brads

For the card, I started by using a scalloped card base that I had in my stash. I then cut a scalloped circle at 4.5 inches from the Birthday Bash cartridge and attached it to the front of the card base using my ATG gun.  Next came attaching the banner triangle and scalloped punch with the "Happy Birthday" sentiment. The banner was attached using 2 brads through the striped paper (now that I am typing this out, I did this before attaching the scalloped circle to the card base.) I then used a 3D square to attache the 2 inch scalloped punch to the triangle. Before adding this, I stamped it with the sentiment using Memonto ink and inked the edges.

Once the front of the card was all done, I added the sentiment to the inside of the card!

Baby Shower Invitations

So this past weekend I opened my Etsy store! I have been wanting to do this for some time, but was waiting for us to get settled after our move. I received my first Custom Order for baby shower invitations and Thank You cards. They turned out so cute if I do say so myself!

 All packaged up and ready to be shipped out!

Items used:

• Imagine cartridge Hopscotch and Blast Off
• Cricut cartridge B is for Boy
• White Card stock
• 3D foam adhesive
• PBD stamps 
• Computer to print Invitation details on the back of cards (no picture due to personal information shown)

I started by using the hopscotch cartridge to print the cloud background paper. I then used the Blast Off imagine cartridge along with the B is for Boy to cut out the monkey! I cut him at 3.5 inches. The giraffe is from the blast off cartridge and he is also cut at 3.5 inches.

I cut down my 12 x 12 cloud paper into 5 x 12 inch strips and then ran them through my printer to print the details of the shower. I then cut the 12 inch strips into 5 x 4 cards. Once the cards were all cut, I attached the monkey's and giraffes to the front of the card and added the stamped sentiments.

For the thank you cards, they are cut the same size as the invitations. They are however only stamped with a "Thank You" Sentiment on the front, and the back is left blank.

Dump Truck party!

My son will be turning 2 next month so I have been racking my brain on what "theme" to use. I received a birthday party catalog in the mail and started getting lots of ideas. Then the idea hit me to plan the party for this coming weekend as my mother-in-law would be here visiting us and she would enjoy being able to be at his party. So last week I started making the invitations followed by a birthday banner! I am really pleased with how everything turned out, and can't wait to have his party this weekend!

Items used:

• White cards cut at score mark
• Mickey and Friends, and Mini Monograms cricut cartridges
• Yellow, Black, red card stock as well as red patterned paper 
• black, white and silver gel pens
• adhesive
• twine

1. I started by printing the "Jacob is turning 2, and you are invited" and the information on the back of the card using my computer and printer. 
2. I then cut the cards in half at the score mark so I could have 2 invites per card base
3. I then cut the dump-truck from the Mickey and Friends cartridge at 3 inches using yellow textured card stock, I also cut the black part of the dump-truck and wheels using black card stock also at 3 inchs.
4. I then assembled the dump-trucks and used the gel pens to add the stitching. I used the silver pen to write "Party Time" on the truck. 
5. Before adhering the dump-trucks to the card stock, I cut the red patterned paper to fit across the bottom of the cards, and used my ATG gun to adhere them together. I also tied the twine around the card and made the bow be on the side with the party information.
6. I then used foam 3-D blocks to adhere the dump-trucks to the card to give them some pop!

For the banner:

1. I cut the dump-truck at 3 inches and the tires. 
2. I cut the letters from Mini Monograms at 3 inches. I really liked the letters with the cutouts, so that is what I went with. 
3. I adhered the letters using the 3-d foam squares. 
4. I then tied the trucks together using twine.
