Happy Holiday's Christmas Card

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Card Creating Tuesday hosted by Erica at My Cricut Craft Room. If you would like to see more cards, head on over to Erica's blog to see what the other design team members have created for you!

My card today is a very easy, and cute Christmas card that I made to give to the child care workers at my MOPS meeting.

Items used:
  • A7 Card base
  • Patterned paper
  • ribbon
  • White, green, and red card stock
  • pop-dots
  • ATG adhesive
  • Memento ink
  • PBD sentiment stamps
  • Jolly Holiday's cricut cartridge
  • xyron sticker maker
  • twine
  • Label die - from PBD
How To:
  • I started by cutting the patterned paper down to fit the front of the card base. I attached it with ATG adhesive
  • I cut the snowmen out at 3 inches and attached the layers together using my xryon sticker maker
  • Because the arms for the snowmen cut out so small for this size cut, I just used a black gel pen to draw the arms onto the snowman.
  • I added the ribbon to the bottom of the card to add a little pop of color, and used ATG to adhere it to the card base
  • I attached the snowmen with pop-dots
  • I also used the label die from PBD to cut out the tags for the front and used a PBD stamp for the sentiment for both the tag and the inside. The tag is also attached with pop-dots. The tag is finished off with a little bow made with twine.

Christmas Card Display Frame

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to share with you all this really cute frame that I made to display all the wonderful Christmas cards that will be arriving in the mail over the next couple of weeks!

I used a 16 x 20 poster frame, wrapped the back piece in paper and then attached ribbon with a staple gun! The flat cards are held on with clothes pins and folded cards just hang over the ribbon!

*If you like this item, it is available in my Etsy store!

December 100 Cartridge Blog Hop - Day 2

My Cricut Craft Room's 100 Cricut Cartridge December Blog Hop Day Two

Welcome to day two of the My Cricut Craft Room 100 cartridge blog hop! I hope that you have enjoyed all the wonderful projects from yesterday, and that you enjoy the projects today. You should have come from Erica's blog, if you didn't then you should head over to her blog to check out her post!

Today I have used Cheerful Seasons and Hoot 'n' Holler to make two different Christmas cards for you!

The first card is made using Hoot 'n' Holler! I just Love this cartridge so much, and I happen to have the perfect stamp set to go with it! I cut the Happy Hoo-lidays tag at 2 inches. The bird stamp is from Pink by design, as are the sentiment stamps in the inside of the card.

For my second card I used Cheerful seasons. I cut the wreath at 3 inches. The "Seasons greetings" tag is from a Provo Craft die for the cuttlebug. The sentiment stamps are all from Pink by Design.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today! The next stop in the hop is Lezlye!

Giving Back Blog Hop

Welcome to the Giving Back Blog Hop!  We wanted to give back to the person who has given so much to us!   So, this is in honor of Erica from My Cricut Craftroom.

You should have come from Patricia at http://micraftygal.blogspot.com.  If you are starting at my blog, you will want to start with Kat’s Blog so you don’t miss any of the great layouts.   When you get done hopping, you will want to go to Erica’s Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/EricasCraftRoom) and leave a comment on her page.   We will be randomly selecting someone from those comments to win blog candy.

I was so honored to be asked to participate in this hop! I have had a blast being part of Erica's design team, so it is nice that we are able to give back to her! Since I have never met Erica in person, I don't have any pictures of us together. So I have left the page blank for her to put in a picture of her liking!

The next stop on the hop is Ricki at http://manicexpressionsdesigns.blogspot.com/.

November 100 Cartridge Blog Hop!

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room
100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop

You should have started at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/  if not please start at the beginning

I have used 3 cartridges for you today, and will give a little info about each project.

  • This wheelbarrow is from Cheerful Seasons and is cut at 2.5 inches
  • It will make the perfect tag for a fall layout page.
  •  These name place setting tags are cut from Thanksgiving, and will be used on my Thanksgiving table.
  • They are cut at 1.5 inches
  • I choose to hand-write each name on the front rather than try and cut out the letters. The names could also be put on using sticker letters.

  • This owl is from Hoot 'n' Holler and is cut at 2 inches
  • This was attached to a toothpic and made into cupcake toppers!
  • Because the black dots for the eyes cut so small, I just used a black gel pen to fill in the eye holes.

    October 100 Cartridge Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the October 100 Cartridge Blog Hop! If you have just come across my blog and would like to start at the beginning, please go to My Cricut Craft Room to start the hop. If you have arrived from Audrey, then you are in the right place. :)

Today I have used 7 cartridge incorporated in my projects to share with you! I started with 5, but as I was putting my projects together realized that I needed some accent cuts that were not available on the cartridges that I had already used.

My first project is this cute pumpkin card!

    • It is from Wild Card (pg 68) and cut at 4.5 inches.
    • To get the pumpkin layer for this card, I actually had to cut the card out in black (the base) and again in orange to get the layer.
    • For the inside, I tried embossing the stamp and am not loving the outcome...however I am not going to give up, I just need to practice more!
My second project is this really cute list:

    • I started by cutting out the "Giving Thanks" from Celebrate with Flourish at 3 inches. I had originally thought that this would go on a layout, but once I was putting my cutouts on my layouts, I just didn't like how it was looking, so I put it aside and was working on my other projects with this idea popped into my head!
    • The pumpkins are cut at 2.5 inches and are from Speaking of Fall (pg 11)
    • The numbers are cut at 3/4 inch and are from Cuttin' Up
    • The brown background is a A7 card base
    • The lined paper is cut to 8 inches x 6 3/4
My third project is a 2 page layout using cuts from Cheerful Seasons.

    • "Fall" is cut at 3 inches and "Family" is cut at 2 inches (both from pg 51)
    • The background paper behind "fall" is cut from Christmas Cards at 5 1/4 inches
    • The background paper behind "family" is cut at 8 3/4 x 2.5 inches and I used a decorative corner punch on the corners.
My forth project is another 2 page layout!

    • The mummy, ghost, alien, and skeleton are all cut at 3 inches and are from Paper Doll Dress Up (pg 49)
    • They are attached to the layout with pop-dots
    • On the skeleton, I traced the "bone" cuts with a white gel pen to make them stand out.
