Anniversary Cards

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been MIA for a few days! It has been a little crazy around my house this week. I have not been able to get much crafting done, so I will post some pictures of some cards I made a few months ago for 2 different anniversary's. The first one was for our friends M &M (Megan and Mike). The celebrated their 2nd wedding anniversary in September! The second was for my In-Laws! They celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary in October. :)

Birthday Cake Card

This card was made for my moms birthday in November. I used the Sweet Treats cartridge to cut it out. I had to improvise for the envelope as it is tall with the candle. I used <Invite-s> envelope from Wild Card, but when I changed the length of the envelope on Design Studio, I wasn't thinking about how it would affect the flaps that make the back of the envelope. To make a back that would close all the way, I trimmed the flaps that would overlap and used another solid piece of paper to attach them to. This worked out well!

My Cricut background and Just Becasue Card

I received my Cricut for my birthday in August 2010. I had wanted one for a few months and my wonderful husband and son had gotten it for me! I was so excited to open it up and start creating, but quickly realized I had no idea what I was doing! After playing around and just cutting out basic shapes in different sized just to see how it worked I decided to follow the direction in the "Wild Card" cartridge on how to make the "Just Because" Card. I have to say that I was very impressed on how it turned out! After making this card, I was hooked on making cards!

Welcome!

Today while blog hopping I realized that I would like to start a blog that is dedicated to my crafts. I have been posting some of my card on my family blog, but realize that not everyone will want to read all about my family's happenings. Because of that...this blog was born! I will do my best to keep it up to date with what I am working on with my crafts!

Once I reach 100 followers I will host my first give away! So please refer your friends on over!
