First off, THANK YOU and WELCOME to all my new followers! I have reached my goal with your help to reach 100+ followers. Tomorrow's post will have the details on how to make sure you are entered into the drawing for the Hoot n' Holler cartridge! This is one of my favorites and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do!
Now for the card. Since my birthday is tomorrow, I needed to get started on some Thank You cards to send out to some friends and family that have sent me gifts! I also found a challenge on
Creative Cutter Room's blog for "Thank You" cards!
Items used:
- Embossed DCWV card base
- Memento Ink
- buttons
- pop dots
- Pink by design sentiment stamp
- Tim Holtz distressing ink (Walnut Stain)
This card was so easy! I pulled out my DCWV card bases that are already embossed, and picked a cute one! I then took a memento dew drop in Grape Jelly and rubbed it all over the front of the card base to draw your attention to the embossing! I then added the sentiment stamp using Memento Lilas Posies. I also distressed the edges of my card base with my Tim Holtz distressing ink! I then used pop dots to attach the 4 buttons to the front of the card!
Ooo, what a wonderful technique! I was actually just looking at Dew Drops online today. I have a regular Memento pad in black for stamping, and I was thinking about getting a bunch of colors. They're $1.19 on Joann.com so I was thinking I could get a bunch. Is the ink pad like, squishy foam or is it the same as the regular ink pads? Let me know if you have the chance. Thanks in advance! loveandsushi.blogspot.com

Rachel - The dewdrops are not squishy, but not super firm if that makes since. They are a lot like the larger stamp pads from Memento! I got a entire set at Hobby Lobby this past weekend and am LOVING them! If they are on sale at JoAnn's I would buy some!
ReplyDeleteAmy- Thanks! And I know, I was shocked to see the numbers climb so fast today! Sarah from Pink by design / Pink Cricut was kind enough to post a link to my blog on her facebook letting people know about my blog!
JulieK - Welcome! I do remember sitting next to your daughter this weekend! And I will head on over and check out your blog and to become a follower!
Such a cute blog-and card-congrats on reaching this many followers. You are sure to get so many more. I will keep coming back to check out the fun. Thanks for sharing your card in the Creative Cutter Room. hugs Cathie
