Just a little pick me up

I have a friend that is starting her Chemo tomorrow for Breast Cancer. I have been thinking of all different ways to make the perfect card for her, and finally sat down and made it tonight!

Items used:
  • Card base cut to 5.5 x 5.5
  • Black card stock cut to 5 x 5 and edges punched with corner punch
  • Pink card stock cut to 4 x 4 and edges punched with corner punch
  • Pink card stock to cut our SVG cuts
  • SVG file for bra cut-outs and PBD stamps that match to make bra markings
  • Sentiment stamps
  • Ribbon
  • Adhesive (ATG, and 3D foam squares)
  • Stickles in silver, clear and yellow
I started by cutting out the bra's from a PBD SVG file. I love how the files go along with the stamps that they release! I then stamped the bras to add the lines.

Before attaching the black card stock  to the card base, I attached the ribbon to it and hid the edges between the card stock and card base. I then stamped the sentiment and attached the bras to the front of the card.

I then cut and punched the pink card stock for the inside of the card and stamped it. I then used my ATG adhesive to attach it to the inside.

To give the card front a little sparkle, I added stickles to the bras!

#1 Dad

The final fathers day card that I made was for my son to give to my husband.

Items used:
  • Brown, tan, yellow, red and white card stock
  • Double sided paper for envelope
  • Adhesive
  • Sentiment stamp
  • 3D foam adhesive
  • SVG file from svgcuts.com
I started by cutting out all the pieces from my SVG file, and assembling the card. This was a fairly easy card to assemble, as there was only 5 layers on top of the card. I cut an extra oval in white to place on the inside of the card so that my stamp would show up better. I used a sentiment from my Fathers Day stamp set from Pink by Design.

Hope you all had a wonderful fathers day!

Golfing fathers day card

My second fathers day card, was created for my father-in-law. He has taken up golfing in the past couple of years, so I figured that he would enjoy this card.

Items used:

  • Red, white, green, blue and double sided card-stock.
  • SVG file for card
  • Stickers to spell out Dad
  • Adhesive
  • Sentiment stamp from "Father's Day" set from Pink by Design
  • Action Wobble
I cut all the pieces from a SVG file, leaving the pieces the default size. After cutting all the pieces, I started putting the card together.  I put the golf ball on an action wobble to allow it to move!

    Fishy fathers day card!

Hi everyone! I have been buys making fathers day cards for my husband, dad, and father-in-law. I hope you enjoy this series of cards over the next few days!

The first card that I will share with you is the card that I made for my dad. One of my fondest memories that I have of my dad and me is all the fishing that we did on the rivers in Alaska! I have pictures of me catching fish that were bigger than we when I was younger! So when I was looking around of some ideas of fathers day cards, and found this really cool SVG file, I just knew that I would make this card for my dad!

    Items used:
    • Blue, dark green, sea green, coral and white card stock
    • Craft eye
    • Adhesive
    • Action Wobble
    • Stamps for sentiment
    • Stickers to spell out "Dad"
    • SVG file for card
I kept all the sizes the default size in the SVG file when cutting the pieces out. Depending on the layer, I used different adhesives. I used my sticker maker and my ATG adhesive. I attached the fish to the card with a action wobble so that it can move! I used 3-D foam squares on the "Happy Father's Day" so that it would pop out on the card.

For the inside of the card, I used a sentiment from Pink By Design's Fathers Day set. There are so many sentiments on this set, it was hard to pick just one to use.

For the envelope, I picked out a piece of cardstock that was double sided from my stash. I also used some stickers from my stash to spell out "Dad" on the front of the envelope.

    Happy Birthday Card #3

I made this final birthday card for my husband as a card from my mom. I happened to talk to her the morning of his birthday and she had totally forgot to put a card in the mail to him, so asked me to get him one. (To see cards one and two, scroll down)

    • I started this card by cutting the "Happy Birthday border" the black circle, and the "27" from an SVG file.
    • I pulled out some scrap birthday themed paper that I had to find a background for the card base. All the paper used for the card (except the black circle) is from my Celebrations 6 x 12 paper stack by provo-craft.
    • I used my ATG adhesive to attach the background balloon paper to the card base.
    • I used a action wobble to attach the Happy Birthday sentiment to the card base! (This was my first time using one and I love what it does to the card! I also used a white gel pen to add stitching around the border.
    • I stamped the inside with yet another birthday stamp from the Pink by Design "Birthday, Birthday" set.
    • I stamped the back with my "Hand made with Love" stamp also from PBD.
