Feeling Icky

Hello everyone! Today I have a cute get well card to share with you all. I made this card to enter into the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon's get well challenge. The card had to be within the theme and PPPR products had to be focus of the project.

I used:
  • PPPR Center panel step card ( I am really loving this card base!)
  • PPPR paper Spring fling raindrops and Summer brights chevron 4 (orange)
  • PPPR feeling icky, germ, and band-aids
  • Pop-dots
  • ATG adhesive
After cutting all my layers, I attached my patterned paper using the ATG adhesive. I popped up the bandages, germ and feeling icky sign. To give the card some color, I only used the one layer of patterned paper on the side pieces.

I hope you enjoy this cute get well card!

Craft It Up & Link It Up Linky Party

I am posting today as a guest designer for Craft It Up & Link It Up Linky Party hosted by Tara of Craftin Desert Divas! Every other Monday will mark the beginning of a new semi-weekly linky party and you could win fabulous prizes!!

This linky party theme is Summer Wet N Wild. The sponsors are  Robin's Nest and Too Cute By Jessica. The more you link up, the better chance you have to win.  Visit Craftin Desert Divas for all the rules and to play along.

Here is what I created for this linky party....

I used:
Before assembling the center panel step card, I inked the seams that are notched for bending to help hide the white center of the black cardstock.

After cutting all my different layers, I inked the white cardstock edges with the Sky ink, and then attached them to the card base. Over these went the patterned paper.

I used pop dots to attach all my SVG cuts to the card, and stamped the sentiment Sandy Toes stamp set using the Sky ink.

Hope you will Craft It Up & Link It Up!!!

A little catching up!

Hello everyone! I know I have been gone for awhile, but I am doing my best to get back in my craft room! Having a 4 yr old and a 8 month old keeps me on my toes! I have been able to get a little time here and there in my craft room, so I will share a few of my projects with you. :)

A few months ago, I was asked to be a instructor in a card class I attend. So most of these cards are ones that I have done for the class or while attending the class! It is a super fun time each Saturday morning, where we get together at a local coffee house and make 3 cards while visiting and having something yummy to drink!

I also wanted to share with you all a design team call for a blog that I really enjoy following, and have made the jump to apply to be apart of. This crafty blog is dedicated to nothing but boy layouts! And being a mom of 2 boys, I get a ton of inspiration from it! So head on over and check out their design team call!

January 100 Cartridge blog hop!

Welcome to the January 2013 100 cartridge blog hop! If you have just stumbled upon my blog and would like to start at the beginning, head on over to My Cricut Craft Room

For my project today, I used the Close to my Heart Art Philosophy cartridge and the matching stamp set Ornamental Cheer to match up my stamps to my cuts!
The first 2 pictures are the same cut - just front and back. I decided to make this cute cut into a very cute tag to go onto a present.

This 3rd cut, I made both into a tag for a present by stamping to and from on the other side, but I also stamped it the same on both sides to make a cute, simple ornament for my tree!

And my final cut was this larger ornament. I stamped one side in green and one in red and used it as an ornament on my tree.

For all my ornaments and tags,  I used Divine twine limited edition holiday twine.

The next stop on the hop is SARA!
And just in case you get lost along the way, here is the entire hop line up!

I'm Back!

Hello everyone!! I am back to crafting, and blogging! On October 1, my husband and I welcomed our second son into the world! We have been enjoying being a family of 4 and enjoying both of our boys!

Today theme is snowflakes with My Cricut Craft Room, so I made some snowflakes cut from adhesive vinyl for my older sons pre-school. His teacher asked me to cut out some snowflakes to place on the walls to help make it feel like winter in the class room. I immediately pulled out my Artiste cartridge and started having fun! I cut 2 different snowflakes at 5, 3.5 and 1 inches so that his teacher had lots of them to hang all over the walls!

Maternity break

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to let you all know that I am taking a little break from crafting and blogging due to the impending arrival of my second son! He is due in the next 2 weeks, and I am spending as much time with my husband and other son as I can before our new bundle of joy arrives! Don't worry, I will be back, it just might be a bit!

Theme Day Thursday- Shoes!

Today's theme is to make something with shoes! We are also using pink in honor of Breast Cancer awareness month that is coming up in October! Here is what I came up with. :)

Items used and how to:
  • I started with an A2 card base, and some patterned paper. I trimmed the paper to fit the front of my base and wrapped some twine around it. Before securing it to the base, I inked the edges with some Tim Holts distressing ink.
  • Next I cut out my cute little flip-flops at 2 inches from Cheerful Seasons! I had to cut the strap layer multiple times as the strap for the right flip-flop didn't want to cut without coming out in 3 pieces. After trying and trying to get it to cut in one piece, I finally just gave up and pieced it together. I wish it would have cut correctly, but I think it just might be a little to small for it to have a nice crisp cut.
  • I attached my flip-flops to my card base using some pop-dots.
  • The inside is stamped with a sentiment from Pink by Design's Breast Wishes stamp set.
As always to see more projects from today's theme, head on over to My Cricut Craft Room to check out what the other design team members have created for you today!
